President Hichilema expected in central Province

President Hakainde Hichilema is tomorrow expected for a two-day working visit, in Central Province where he is scheduled to inspect developmental projects and interact with the local people in Luano, Kapiri Mposhi, Ngabwe, Chibombo, Shibuyunji and Mumbwa districts. According to Central Province Permanent Secretary, Milner Mwanakampwe, President Hichilema is expected to arrive at Masansa in Luano district at 10:00 hours. He is scheduled to address a public meeting and inspect a maize depot following the announcement of the maize floor price by the Food Reserve Agency (FRA).

The head of state is later scheduled to interact with the people of Mpunde area in Kapiri Mposhi district before inspecting a maize depot at Mumbachala in Ngabwe district. Dr Mwanakampwe says President Hichilema will address a public meeting at Mumbachala and later proceed to Mwomboshi farming scheme in Chisamba district, where he is scheduled to inspect the farming of winter crops around the irrigation scheme and later interact with the locals at Chikonkomene. On Wednesday, President Hichilema will inspect the newly constructed maternity annex at Mwanjuni clinic in Chibombo’s Katuba ward.

The head of state is also scheduled to inspect the upgrading of 98 Kilometers the Farmer’s-Blue Lagoon road in Shibuyunji district, and interact with the local people at Mwembehzi school grounds. Dr Mwanakampwe said the head of state will later address a public meeting at Kasalu school grounds in Nangoma. President Hichilema will conclude his tour of the Province after addressing another public meeting at the council grounds in Mumbwa’s Central Business District (CBD) before flying back to Lusaka.
