Power Dynamos coach Oswald Mutapa is looking ahead to Sunday’s 2026 ABSA Cup final against Red Arrows at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola. Power are seeking a double this season after successfully defending the Super League title last week. Ahead of the ABSA Cup final, Power were held to an exasperating goalless draw at Kansanshi Dynamos in a delayed midweek league match played in Solwezi.
In a post-match comment, Mutapa hinted he wanted to quickly forget the draw at Kansanshi to focus on the ABSA Cup final. “We are just from playing a League match, so, it means we are prepared for the ABSA Cup final,” Mutapa said. ABSA Cup champions will pocket K1.1 million while the runners up will get K450, 000.
“The two previous seasons we were in the quarterfinal, semifinal and now we are in the final so we want to push and get the trophy,” he said. Arrows reached the final after eliminating National League side Chirundu United at the semifinal stage. Power advanced to the final after escorting Mighty Mufulira Wanderers out of the competition.
