POLICE in Choma’s Macha area have apprehended a man for allegedly defiling a 31-year-old mentally challenged woman. It is alleged that the man dragged the woman into a bush while on her way to the market around 17:00 hours, where he sexually assaulted her before fleeing the scene. In a statement, Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Moono Namalongo said the woman was later able to identify the man in a public area and alerted the members of the public who managed to apprehend him before handing him over to the police.
