Police confirm body found at Cape Town High Court, no foul play suspected

Hordes of people stood outside the Cape Town High Court on Tuesday morning. It is here where a body was found. A body was found at the Western Cape High Court on Tuesday, police said.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg said no foul play was suspected. “Cape Town Central police attended to a complaint at the high court where a person passed away,” he said. “However, no criminal record was registered for investigation as the person had a medical history.” In pictures circulating online, people can be seen dotting around the entrance of the court.

Police and court officials were also seen at the scene as the situation was being attended to.
