THE People’s Pact has petitioned the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) and Attorney General Mulilo Kabesha in the Constitutional Court, seeking an order for the stay of the implementation of the delimitation exercise scheduled for April this year. The Pact is also asking the court for an interim injunction, preventing certification of the final voter’s register, which is due on April 30. Pact Chairman Peter Sinkamba submitted that if the register is certified on April 30, before voters are accurately mapped to the new 211 constituencies, the register will be legally locked with incorrect particulars.
