Parliamentarians must lead Africa’s agrifood system transformation under the Kampala CAADP Declaration and the forthcoming CAADP Strategy and Action Plan (2026–2035).

This emerged during the Africa Food Systems Parliamentary Network (AFSPaN) relaunch of its flagship Policy Brief: “A 10-Year Parliamentary Call to Action for Agrifood Systems Transformation in Africa (2026–2035)” at a side event during the 21st Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme Partnership Platform (CAADP PP) and the 16th Africa Day for Food and Nutrition Security (ADFNS) held in Kigali, Rwanda.
