GOVERNMENT says 1,020,739 farmers, representing 99.64 percent, have successfully redeemed their farming inputs under the FISP e-voucher system out of a total of 1,024,434 targeted beneficiaries. In a statement, Thursday, Ministry of Agriculture Principle Public Relations Officer Balewa Zyuulu said the Ministry was confident that the remaining farmers would redeem their farming inputs within the shortest possible time. Zyuulu commended the important role played by the accredited private input suppliers and agro-dealers, whose nationwide presence greatly contributed to the efficient and timely distribution of inputs under the programme.
