Ovaherero Youth Council embraces heritage

The event to be held in Mahalapye at Lorna Farms on March 28, 2026, promises to be a memorable showcase of Herero traditions, music, and heritage, as the community comes together to reconnect with its roots. “We are creating a platform for leadership development, cultural preservation, unity, and socio-economic empowerment,” says Eric Kuaima, president of the OYC. “Our goal is to reconnect young people with their heritage while preparing them to contribute meaningfully to their communities and the nation,” said Kuaima.
