Old Mutual Zimbabwe donates call rooms to Harare Children’s hospital

Old Mutual Zimbabwe has handed over five newly furnished doctors’ call rooms at Harare Children’s Hospital, demonstrating its commitment to community welfare and healthcare support.

The refurbished facilities are equipped with new beds, reading desks and chairs, cupboards, linen and blankets, microwave ovens, fans, and kitchenware. The donation aims to create a more comfortable and dignified working environment for doctors and health workers caring for children in the hospital’s seven wards, which have a total of 240 beds.

The initiative was undertaken in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Harare West, which approached Old Mutual in 2023 to assist with the renovation of the call rooms. The partnership highlights how collaboration between the private sector and civic organisations can deliver meaningful community impact.
