Industry watchers have described this as a test of resilience for one of Zimbabweโ€™s most prominent chains. OK Zimbabwe is now putting community engagement at the heart of its recovery efforts.

Under the banner โ€œMoving Forward, Stronger with You,โ€ the company launched itsFair Price Movementon 19 September 2025. The campaign promises price parity with the lowest available prices across key items and weekly grocery giveaways designed to ease pressure on household budgets. Over five weeks, shoppers at OK stores will have the chance to receive fully stocked trolleys at no cost.

โ€œIt is not just about price tags. It is about signaling that these stores want to be seen as reliable partners again,โ€ said one consultant. A similar approach is being adopted at Bon Marchรฉ, which will host aSummer Carnivalaimed at creating a festive in-store atmosphere.
