LAZ and other civil society organisations have discontinued a case in which they sued the State in the Constitutional Court, demanding an order to quash all acts, consultations, findings, recommendations and draft Bills by the Technical Committee on constitutional amendments. LAZ, NGOCC, the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia, the Council of Churches in Zambia, the Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops, and the LCK Freedom Foundation had cited the Attorney General as the respondent. Earlier, the Constitutional Court dismissed an application by the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) and other CSOs for a conservatory order to suspend the activities of the Technical Committee.
