Reigning domestic top-flight league champions Mighty Wanderers FC have loaned out enterprising winger Wisdom Mponganjira to Mozambican side Associação Black Bulls. The pacy winger will link up with the Maputo-based outfit from March 1 until December 31 as he seeks more competitive action in the Moçambola League. Wanderers director of football development David Kanyenda confirmed the loan deal in an interview yesterday.
“He has been loaned out for 10 months. Both clubs and the player are satisfied with the financial terms of the deal,” he said. Mpinganjira played a key role in Wanderers’ triumphant 2025 TNM Super League campaign and also shone for the Malawi National Football Team.
His performances reportedly caught the attention of Black Bulls coach Inácio Soares, who pushed for the loan move. Football analyst Charles Nyirenda said the move will help expose the player. He said: “Though its relatively a new team formed just nine years ago, they are better organised and have good sponsorship.” The winger, who is son to Wanderers coach Bob Mpinganjira, returned to the Lali Lubani Road outfit in 2020 from a loan spell at lower league side Hangover FC.

Meanwhile, the Nomads yesterday unveiled Lameck Mithi as their new-signing forward from Mzuu-based Moyale Barracks FC. A statement posted on the club’s website, reads: “ We announce the arrival of Lameck Mithi from Moyale Barracks FC.
The 18 year-old Ascent Academy graduate has penned a 36-month agreement that will see him ply his trade at Lali Lubani Road until 2029. “The Malawi Under-20 [National Football Team] forward spent his maiden season in the elite league at Moyale Barracks FC (2025/26), playing ten games, scoring 10 times and providing two assists in all competitions.”
