Nomalisa GumpoThe Nehemiah AIDS Relief Project in Cowdray Park has received a timely boost after a donation of laptops, tablets, stationery, sanitary pads, diapers, and refreshments from Digimark Digital Marketing Ltd.Digimark, a UK-registered company, made the donation through its Bulawayo-based online team known as “The Beyond Limits” as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts.Speaking at the handover, Nehemiah AIDS Relief Project Director, Ms Pamela Nyathi, said the donation would go a long way in addressing the centre’s resource shortages.“This donation is going to be very helpful because they have given us almost everything that we need,” she said.She added that the IT equipment will enhance learning and research opportunities for children, while the sanitary pads and diapers will benefit teenage mothers and young girls supported by the organisation.Nehemiah AIDS Relief Project works with people living with HIV, women in sex work, teenage mothers, and vulnerable children. It runs peer education sessions, income-generating projects, and operates a youth club, kids club, and an ECD centre at the Ithemba Centre.Ms Emsipa Nare, an online worker with Digimark, said the team chose Nehemiah because of the organisation’s visible impact in the community.“I have worked here, I have seen the challenges they face in terms of funding and resources.
