Atelisha Harilal, Head of Marketing & Student Recruitment at JSE-listed higher education provider,STADIO Holdings, shares advice for students and parents to help smooth the application process.

“It can be tricky to understand the application process,” says Harilal. “For example, sometimes people are wait-listed, and they don’t understand what that means. Sometimes they are declined simply because of errors made in the application process.” While students are taking their first steps into adult life, they do require support on things like completing documents, and understanding terms and conditions For parents, Harilal says that although it’s the student who registers with the tertiary institution, parents should support them in navigating the journey as it can be intimidating.
