THE National Multi-Faith Economic Dialogue (NAMFED) is preparing to present its comprehensive report on the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS-2) to President Mnangagwa,Express Mail Zim can report.The report is based on NAMFED’s participation in the ongoing NDS-2 consultations across the country and it reflects the organization’s findings and recommendations on key economic issues.The church-led initiative recently hosted a two-day convention in the capital where it advocated increased involvement of religious institutions in national economic development.NAMFED co-convener Emmanuel Muzhangiri said the decision to present the report to President Mnangagwa mirrors the church’s commitment to contributing meaningfully to the country’s development agenda.“As NAMFED, we are actively participating in the NDS-2 consultation process. With NSD- nearing its conclusion, we find it necessary to share our insights, which support the national Vision 2030 agenda,” said Muzhangiri.He emphasized that the presentation will include resolutions adopted at the recent NAMFED convention, focusing on challenges affecting ordinary citizens and various economic sectors.“Our report outlines problems, proposed solutions, and policy recommendations from a faith-based perspective. It’s important that the President hears these voices from the religious leadership,” he added.Earlier this week, NAMFED also appointed senior religious figures from across the country to serve on its advisory board and in its research liaison, and policy arms, which is a move aimed at strengthening its influence and engagement on national issues.
