Traffic along the N3 Toll Route has eased after the initial Easter rush, but authorities warn volumes will rise sharply as holidaymakers begin their return journeys early next week. Anita Heyl, spokesperson for the N3 Toll Concession (N3TC), said conditions are currently calm. โ€œThere are currently no incidents along the N3 Toll Route.

Traffic volumes have eased, and conditions are expected to remain relatively calm until Monday, when return traffic begins to increase again,โ€ she said. Motorists have been urged to prepare for heavier traffic as the holiday period draws to a close. N3TC said peak return volumes are expected between 10am and 8pm on Monday and Tuesday.

Drivers are advised to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and remain patient during peak periods, which often bring congestion and increased crash risks. N3TC has also stressed the importance of maintaining safe following distances, noting that rear-end collisions are among the most common crashes on the route during high-volume periods. Heyl said a further update will be issued on Sunday afternoon ahead of the anticipated peak.
