Speaking at his party’s offices in Bulawayo, Mwonzora said the push to extend Mnangagwa’s term beyond 2028 is unlawful and part of a broader scheme to entrench elite control.”We know that President Mnangagwa is now surrounded by dangerous people.
In fact, he is no longer just one man – he is a group of corrupt individuals enjoying the wealth of this country at the expense of the masses,” Mwonzora said.He also accused the administration of colluding with Chinese investors in the exploitation of Zimbabwe’s mineral wealth, citing poor labor conditions and environmental degradation. “Chinese investors must play by our rules. Our people are underpaid, beaten, and some have even been killed. We want an end to this form of colonialism,” he said.Mwonzora warned that the proposed third-term agenda would destabilize ZANU-PF, the opposition, and Parliament.
