MPOROKOSO PF MP Brian Mundubile and Christian Democratic Party president Dan Pule have successfully filed nominations for the position of Tonse Alliance Chairperson and 2026 presidential candidate. This is despite an earlier circular issued by the Given Lubinda-led PF faction, which directed all PF structures to disregard any activities initiated by the Tonse Alliance faction and warned that those failing to comply would face disciplinary action. Meanwhile, Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) leader Chifumu Banda has filed his nomination as first vice-chairman, while New Era Democratic Party’s Exilda Mwenya is contesting as the Tonse Alliance second vice-chairperson.
