MTN8 trophy on display as clubs move to the semi-finals with Orlando Pirates still up for their title defence. Orlando Pirateswill face Sekhukhune United in the MTN8 semi-finals, whileMamelodi Sundownshave been drawn against Lamontville Golden Arrows in the last four. The semi-final line-up was confirmed on Sunday afterGolden Arrows completed the quartet by eliminating Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 at FNB Stadium.

The Buccaneers will now meet Sekhukhune in what promises to be an intriguing clash between the defending Betway Premiership champions and a side that produced one of the weekend’s most dramatic results. Sekhukhune booked their place in the semi-finals earlier on Sunday after edging AmaZulu 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller. Their reward is a meeting with Pirates, who had to work considerably harder than expected to overcome Durban City on Saturday. Pirates will now have the opportunity to continue their pursuit of the first piece of major silverware of the new season, although they will face a Sekhukhune side that has already demonstrated its attacking threat.
