He said the chairs, which would benefit cancer patients, were a result of a remarkable partnership and the spirit of generosity demonstrated by organisations. “Through the collaborative fund raising efforts of CancerServe, St John’s College and the Maguire family we have witnessed how united action can lead to tangible improvements in the healthcare delivery system,” Mohadi said. “Funds were raised to purchase 20 chairs.
Of these, 10 are being donated to Mpilo Hospital, while 10 others will be handed over to Parirenyatwa Hospital in Harare,” Mohadi said He said Health and Child Care minister Douglas Mombeshora made a commitment to donate another 20 chairs.
During a briefing before the ceremony, Mombeshora said he would donate 20 chairs while Mohadi pledged 20 more. “We are pledging and donating to the Ministry of Health.
As to how many are going to come to Mpilo or go to Parirenyatwa, it is up to the ministry to decide,” Mohadi said.
He said the chairs would go a long way in enhancing the comfort of cancer patients.
CancerServe representative Anne Mary Nyakubau said the gesture was meant to restore dignity and comfort to cancer patients during their most difficult time. “The milestone achievement would not be achieved by CancerServe alone, it was made possible through the spirit of collaboration and compassion,” she said. “I would like to express my gratitude to St John’s College, the Maguire family whose dedication and generosity reminded us that when communities unite for a purpose remarkable things can happen. ” Related posts: Government and private sector join forces to fight cancer NewsDay exposé: Mohadi reaction lights up rural Beitbridge Mohadi Square for Beitbridge Mohadi criticised for betraying Matabeleland VP Mohadi expected in Angola today. 🔗
