The agreement was signed during the US-Mozambique Business Forum and marks a significant step towards strengthening economic ties between the two markets by creating a platform for cooperation to bring businesses closer together, facilitate strategic partnerships and encourage foreign direct investment in priority sectors. The partnership focuses on sectors with strong economic potential, where Mozambique and the State of Texas have complementary advantages.
Priority sectors include energy, oil and gas, infrastructure, manufacturing, agriculture, information technology, renewable energy and vocational training. According to CTA, the agreement is a strategic instrument to accelerate the integration of Mozambican companies into global supply chains, facilitate the transfer of knowledge and technology, and strengthen the competitiveness of MSMEs, enabling them to meet the demands of the major investment projects under way in the country.
