The position was expressed following a meeting with the President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, during which both analyzed the country’s economic prospects and its strategic role in the international context. The former British Prime Minister also highlighted that international interest in Mozambique extends far beyond its energy reserves, covering areas such as mining, agriculture, and tourism—sectors that, in his view, could play a decisive role in wealth creation and poverty reduction.
