Mozambique will present, for the first time in Europe, a structured pipeline of renewable energy projects during the RENMOZ in Europe event, taking place on 17th and 18th March in Brussels. This initiative marks a key milestone in the internationalization of the country’s main business forum dedicated to renewable energy, reinforcing Mozambique’s commitment to attracting European investment to accelerate its energy transition. The main highlight of the event will be the first‑ever presentation in Europe of a structured project pipeline covering solar, wind, hydro, mini‑grids and electricity transmission and distribution sectors.
This portfolio has been designed to increase the visibility of the country’s priority projects, strengthening their technical and financial viability before private sector investors and development finance institutions. According to Ricardo Pereira, President of AMER, “Investment attractiveness is directly linked to risk perception. Well‑structured projects – from technical design to financial solidity – reduce that risk and enable more competitive investment conditions.
This is why consolidating and preparing the pipeline is so critical. A robust portfolio builds confidence among investors and international partners, and this forum is a key event for Mozambique because it allows us to consistently showcase all the work already carried out in preparing information and demonstrating the quality of the projects under development – both on‑grid and off‑grid”. “RENMOZ in Europe strengthens Mozambique’s projection within the energy ecosystem of Portuguese‑speaking countries and deepens cooperation with European partners”, highlights Mayra Pereira, President of ALER.
