On the occasion, João Matlombe revealed that the memorandum aims to develop a Feasibility Study, Environmental Impact Assessment, Executive Project, and prepare all necessary documents to carry out the installation of 112 metal bridges across the country, as well as produce the corresponding cost estimate. “The memorandum will also allow Conduril Engenharia SA and Acrow Bridge to mobilise financial resources from various entities to make this structuring project in the road infrastructure sector in our country viable,” said Matlombe. Dressel, stated that this agreement is a perfect example of cooperation between the United States and Mozambique, producing a real economic impact for both countries. “This partnership addresses critical infrastructure needs in Mozambique, while also creating over 200 jobs in Pennsylvania and supporting the development of local skills in Mozambique,” Dressel highlighted. The signing of the memorandum comes at a time when the Government of Mozambique has been designing and consolidating policies and projects aimed at creating conditions to make national infrastructure more resilient to the impacts of natural disasters that cyclically affect the country.
