The arrival of a new fuel tanker on the morning of Wednesday (29 April) reinforces fuel supply operations in central Mozambique, at a time when fuel logistics remain under public scrutiny. The Fuel Terminal at Beira Port received another vessel carrying 20 million litres of diesel on Wednesday morning. The product, imported exclusively to meet demand in central Mozambique, is awaiting the completion of routine laboratory tests, with unloading expected to begin around midday.
This is the second fuel tanker to dock at Beira port within a short period of 48 hours. The development follows the operation of the vessel MT DEE 4 LARCH, which between Monday and Tuesday unloaded 18 million litres of petrol. After completing the operation, MT DEE 4 LARCH departed for the ports of Nacala and Pemba, continuing the national distribution plan.
Despite the frequent arrival of vessels, fuel shortages at filling stations continue to generate uncertainty among the public and productive sectors.
