Mokomeng is facing a total of nine charges, including the three murders of Elizabeth Ramolala, Alefha Ramolala, and Katlego Ramolala from the Kgomokasitwa killings. Other charges include attempted murders of Happy Ramolala, Dibotelo, arson, and malicious damage to property. Appearing before the High Court this week, the pro deo counsel Keorapetse Sambere, appointed by the state, indicated that he can no longer render his services to murder accused Mokomeng.
Reasons that the triple murder accused does not want his services. “It was only in January that I was given the case involving the accused, and it was only yesterday I met him, and it was only brief,” Sambere said. A young man suspected of breaking into a car was seized by residents, severely assaulted, and died in the hospital within an hour.
