HEALTH Minister Dr Elijah Muchima has urged doctors to return to the negotiation table to review progress on their employment issues, stating that bigger matters like load shedding have overshadowed everything else. Dr Muchima has also clarified that the awarding of a 73 per cent contract to MissionPharma to supply health kits is based on the fact that it consistently supplied without failure. On Monday, the Resident Doctors Association of Zambia (RDAZ) disclosed that its volunteer doctors would stop working by December 19, following government’s failure to fulfil its promise to employ them.
