A 22-year-old woman has been arrested in Midrand for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend to death in the early hours of Monday, 22 September 2025.The suspect, identified as Jo-Ann Ntokoto Mabasa from Kremetart in Giyani, Limpopo, was taken into police custody after admitting to stabbing her partner, Xichavo Ntsanwisi, 31.Ntsanwisi, originally from Mhinga village outside Malamulele and employed by the Greater Giyani Municipality, was found dead at his home in Colnbrook Estate, Noordwyk.Police reports indicate that he was discovered lying on the kitchen floor with a stab wound to the upper chest, close to the neck. A knife with a yellow handle was recovered next to his body.Emergency responders from Netcare Ambulance declared him dead on the scene. No other injuries were reported.According to authorities, Mabasa did not flee the scene and was immediately arrested.

She will face a murder charge in court, though the date of her first appearance is yet to be confirmed.Investigations are ongoing as police examine the weapon, collect forensic evidence, and take statements.
