Mec ‘defies’ APM order

The Malawi Electoral Commission (Mec) says it wants to seek the court’s interpretation before it can start entertaining the idea of moving from Lilongwe to Blantyre as directed by President Peter Mutharika last year.

In October last year, Mutharika ordered four government agencies to revert their offices to Blantyre and Zomba. While others have complied, Mec was, all along, mum on the issue
