Our #MCM today is Dhyaan Kumar Savania, a Zimbabwean model, actor and musician whose rise reflects discipline, versatility and cultural fusion. Born in 1991 in Zimbabwe and raised in Rusape, Dhyaan has grown into one of the country’s most recognisable male creatives, balancing fashion, film and music under the alias Don Savania. He attended Highveld Primary before enrolling at Peterhouse Boys’ School, later completing his studies at Hillcrest College where he earned an Advanced Diploma in Computer Science.
His early years were grounded in structure and sport, including cricket at a competitive level, which helped shape the discipline that would later define his career. Before the spotlight, Dhyaan built his professional foundation in the corporate world, serving as a general manager at a Borrowdale-based company in Harare. However, his passion for the arts eventually took centre stage, and by 2022 he had transitioned into self-employment, fully committing to the creative industry.
His modelling career took off in the mid-2010s, earning him national recognition through multiple accolades, including Mr Zimbabwe 1st Runner-Up titles and awards such as Most Promising and Most Talented Male Model. He has worked with major brands like Econet Wireless Zimbabwe, establishing himself as a consistent figure in Zimbabwe’s fashion and commercial space. Beyond the runway, Dhyaan expanded into acting, featuring in productions such as State of Malambia, 206 Bones and Sunshine City, while also earning a Best Actor Male accolade.

His work spans drama, television and socially themed productions, reflecting a deliberate move toward storytelling and broader artistic expression. As a musician, he has embraced a unique blend of Zimbabwean and Indian influences, releasing tracks like Baby Girl and High Life, and collaborating with Mark Ngwazi. Fluent in multiple languages including Shona, Dhyaan represents a modern Zimbabwean identity—rooted in diversity, driven by ambition, and steadily building a name that continues to grow across industries.
