Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) top-flight league side TP Mazembe’s Malawian representative Felix Ngamanya Sapao has recommended FCB Nyasa Big Bullets star Chikumbutso Salima to the Lubumbashi-based side. The development follows Bullets’ decision to reject Tanzanian giants Simba Sports Club’s request to release the player for trials, a move that was also being facilitated by Sapao. In an interview yesterday, the agent said TP Mazembe will be monitoring the player’s performance through their chief scout.
He said: “There is nothing concrete at the moment. I only made a recommendation to Mazembe’s chief scout the way I did with [former Bullets players] Patrick Mwaungulu and Lanjesi Nkhoma. “There is no offer or interest yet.
It’s only that having seen his [Salima] profile, the chief scout will be following him before coming up with a decision.” Sapao also confirmed having recommended the player to Simba. “Bullets didn’t buy the idea of the boy going there for trials, but Simba only wanted to have a look at him since they had not seen him play before,” he said. But last week Bullets acting chief executive officer Albert Chigoga said: “Salima is a highly rated player and the stats are there for all to see.

I thought they saw him play before approaching us?” The 22-year-old shone in the 2025 TNM Super League season in which he emerged joint top scorer alongside teammate Babatunde Adepoju with 15 goals apiece. He also topped the assists list with 11.
