In the comics, Riri Williams is a 15-year-old engineering prodigy who reverse-engineers her own Iron Man suit while studying at MIT.
Created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Mike Deodato in 2016, Riri quickly rose to prominence as a symbol of young, Black female genius and innovation.
While the MCU version of Riri is slightly older and introduced inWakanda Forever, her corecharacter remains the same: brilliant, driven, and unafraid to disrupt. In that film, we saw her design a vibranium detector that set off a chain reaction of international conflict—clearly showing she’s not just smart, she’s dangerous-smart.
