Vosman Police have warned business owners that the robbers are always lurking during their daily activities before striking. Lieutenant Colonel Vusi Mnisi, the police spokesperson, said: “I would like to warn residents about the increase in business robberies in our policing area.” This warning follows two business robbery incidents reported in Kwa-Guqa Extensions. Police said business owners should not underestimate potential threats, as suspects frequently operate around tuck shops and small businesses, sometimes pretending to be customers while monitoring movements inside and outside the premises.

In the first incident on March 14 in Extension 11, Hlalanikahle, four men allegedly entered a shop armed with a pistol. They reportedly pointed the firearm at the victims and ordered them to cooperate. They fled with cigarettes, an undisclosed amount of cash, and two cellphones.

One victim escaped, but his brother was later found shot twice in the left leg. In the second incident on March 15 at Extension 5, Empumelelweni, a shop owner was allegedly assaulted by a group of individuals after being warned not to operate a business nearby. They reportedly returned, assaulted the owner, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and a cellphone. The suspects remain at large in both cases.
