The train was travelling from Marondera. “Upon reaching a railway crossing area near Jeff Road in Chikanga, Flavio saw Manyawu walking along the railway and sounded a horn, but he continued walking on the railway and was hit by the train and fell outside the railway,” said Assistant Inspector Chinyoka.
The train came to a stop a few metres beyond the point of impact.
Flavio disembarked to assess the situation and discovered that Manyawu was already dead.
The incident was reported to Chikanga ZRP.
