News / NationalMan in court for harassing brother’s girlfriendby Staff reporter10 mins ago |12ViewsA Harare woman, Blessing Mungofa, has been granted a protection order against her boyfriend’s brother, Dairai Kanoyangwa, whom she accused of persistent harassment, insults, and emotional abuse.The ruling was handed down by Harare Civil Court magistrate Ashton Dube, who warned Kanoyangwa to stop harassing Mungofa and to respect her relationship with his younger brother, Tapiwa.In her testimony, Mungofa told the court that Kanoyangwa had made her life unbearable by constantly shouting at her and humiliating her whenever she visited her boyfriend.”I deserve love without being terrorised.
I need peace, and I want him to leave me alone,” she said.She described how the harassment had become so intense that she began avoiding her boyfriend to prevent further confrontations.”Every time I visit my partner, he insults me and tells me to leave their home. I’ve been embarrassed in public, threatened, and accused of things I haven’t done,” she added.Mungofa said she could not understand why Kanoyangwa seemed determined to destroy her relationship.”At first, I thought he just didn’t like me, but the way he watches and reacts whenever I talk to his brother made me think maybe he has a deeper issue.
