The body of the late MacFarlane Banda, one of the five artists who died in a car accident yesterday in Ntcheu district, has been laid to rest at Stella Maris in Blantyre, bringing closure to a tragic chapter.
This morning, the funeral service was held at Chilobweâs Word of Faith Temple, where Banda worshipped and served in music, gathering friends, family, and fellow musicians to pay their respects.
Apostle Timothy Khoviwa, advisor to the countryâs leader on church matters, said the deceased was young but of good character and had a passion for serving God, highlighting the young musicianâs dedication to his faith.

The funeral was also attended by gospel musicians like Phales Mangâanda and Limbani Simenti, showing solidarity with the grieving family and friends.
He was born on April 18, 1998, leaving behind a promising future cut short by tragedy.

The loss of Banda and his fellow musicians has sent shockwaves through Malawiâs music community, leaving many to mourn the talented young artists.
