Lucara signs final contract for Karowe expansion

Lucara Diamond Corp.

has signed the final major contract required to advance the Karowe Underground Project (UGP), awarding Group R Mining and Exploration Botswana responsibility for all underground lateral development that will connect the mine’s production and ventilation shafts to the kimberlite orebody. The agreement represents a decisive step in Lucara’s plan to extend the life of Botswana’s most lucrative diamond operation well into the next decade.
