LOS ANGELES – Drake’s highly anticipated album Iceman, rumoured for release this October under his October’s Very Own banner, may not be living up to the hype—at least according to Joe Budden As reported by TMZ, the outspoken rapper-turned-podcaster didn’t hold back on the latest episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, where he offered a scathing review of Drake’s recent single Which One, featuring UK rapper Central Cee Budden mocked the track’s Caribbean-inspired rhythms, suggesting it lacks the impact of Drake’s previous hits “It’s the type of song that’ll only get played during filler hours at Pergola or Sei Less,” he said, sarcastically adding that it’s the kind of track “NBA nepo-brother Thanasis Antetokounmpo might request.”

While Budden clarified that he’s not the official authority on Drake’s rollout—deferring that role to DJ Akademiks, who has been closely tracking the album’s progress—he still made his opinion crystal clear: the buzz around Iceman is shaky at best

TMZ notes that Which One debuted at No 23 on the charts, falling short of Drake’s reported ambition to surpass Michael Jackson’s record for the most No 1 hits by a solo male artist Despite the lukewarm reception, Drake has yet to respond to Budden’s critique

The two have a history of public jabs, with Drake previously calling out Budden for his often blunt takes Whether Iceman will deliver the smash Drake needs remains to be seen—but for now, it’s back to the drawing board Source: The Zimbabwe Mail
