Liverpool earned a comfortable 3–0 victory over Olympique Marseille in their UEFA Champions League group-stage clash on Wednesday night at the Orange Vélodrome. The visitors applied steady pressure throughout the first half and were rewarded just before the interval. According toESPN, Dominik Szoboszlai broke the deadlock with a clever free-kick, drilling the ball beneath the jumping wall to give Liverpool a deserved lead at halftime.

Liverpool maintained control after the restart, dictating possession and denying Marseille any clear scoring opportunities. Their dominance produced a second goal in the 72nd minute when Jeremie Frimpong’s driven cross was inadvertently turned into his own net by goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli. Defensively, Liverpool remained organised and disciplined, restricting Marseille to half-chances and protecting their advantage with ease.

In stoppage time, Cody Gakpo added a third, reacting sharply inside the box to seal a convincing 3–0 win. The result moves Liverpool closer to qualification for the knockout stages and strengthens their position near the top of the group.
