She concludes that tours investigating why serial killers do what they do, would be financially viable. She suggests fees paid be given to women’s shelters, families and human rights organisations. But the idea has some serious dangers.
Such tours poorly managed could make celebrities of these criminals, especially if advertising is unethical. That could wound survivors and families. They could also tempt unstable people to carry out copy-cat murders.
This is not the way to go. Our nation already offers too much violence in entertainment. We should not let our real tragedies be added as further entertainment.

Let’s go another way. Paul the Apostle wrote that we should rather occupy our minds with “whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right…”. That is much better stuff for our attention.
