Letters | Buck stops with the minister

I have some questions for the honourable Minister of Agriculture John Steenhuisen. Why can’t Onderstepoort supply enough vaccines? It was once a world leader in animal health and manufacturer of vaccines, looked up to by the rest of the world.

As minister of Agriculture, the buck stops with you. Are farmers going to get some form of compensation? This spread of foot-and-mouth disease is clearly a result of the government and the Department of Agriculture’s incompetence and dropping the ball.
