Speaking to players at Konkola Stadium before departure, Mubita said unity and total commitment to the club’s objectives will be the driving force behind the campaign starting in September. “Pre-season is the foundation of everything we will achieve on the pitch.
This season, ‘good’ is not enough,” he said. “Management, our sponsors Konkola Copper Mines, and our passionate fans expect us to compete aggressively for a top finish,” Mubita added. With careful squad restructuring and key new additions onboard, the president urged players to maximise their time in Western Province by building chemistry, focusing on conditioning, and upholding discipline.
