Chipolopolo star Kings Kangwa has expressed his excitement after joining Greek giants Panathinaikos on a four-year deal from Israeli club Hapoel Be’er Sheva.Panathinaikos confirmed the signing on Friday:“The 27-year-old midfielder from Zambia has joined the ‘Trifylli’ on a transfer from Israeli side Hapoel Be’er Sheva and has signed a four-year contract.” “We welcome Kings to the Panathinaikos family,” the club added.Posting on his official Facebook page, Kangwa said he was honoured to make the move. “A new challenge, a new home, but with the same passion and hunger to succeed,” he wrote. “Honoured to join Panathinaikos and proud to wear this historic badge.

He was named Israeli Premier League Player of the Season in May 2025, with his performances helping propel Hapoel Be’er Sheva to league victory in the 2024/25 season.At international level, the midfielder has represented Zambia since 2019, earning 43 caps and scoring 7 goals.
