Khwezi said the song was a call to action to address social ills and to encourage open conversation around mental health and emotional well-being. “In this project, I stick to what Khwezi ZW stands for — tackling real-life issues through honest storytelling,” he said.
What makes this release even more special is Khwezi’s collaboration with the Matopo High School Choir.
Reflecting on this partnership, he shared, “Matopo is a hub of musical talent.
It is where I was groomed musically for six years.
It felt like going back home and working with my family. ” He added that his connection to the school ran deep. “My first vocal coach, Khanyisile Madonko, was a student there.
Matopo shaped so much of who I am as an artiste,” he added.
