Titled The Shutdown, the show will mark the end of a global tour that began in May after the musician launched his album, Ndini Mukudzei. During the tour, Jah Prayzah performed in cities including Wolverhampton, Toronto, and Johannesburg. The international leg officially commenced on 25 May with a sold-out show at The Hangar in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom.
In July, he performed in Toronto, Canada, before staging another major performance in Johannesburg on 15 November. Gateway Stream Media Manager Elton Kurima said the final show at HICC will serve as a celebration of both the album launch and the successful world tour. He described the venue as ,“Zimbabwe’s premier concert space offering world-class sound, lighting, and flexible space for up to 4 500 guests.” Demand for the event has been high, with Phase 1 tickets already sold out. Phase 2 tickets are already on sale at MedOrange Pharmacies, Booties Pharmacies, as well as at The Rainbow Towers Hotel’s Gateway Stream booth and The New Ambassador Hotel.
