The Hillbrow Theatre in Johannesburg, South Africa vibrated with energy this past Saturday, as Izinkanyezi ZeZulu, a renowned male-only acapella group, launched their sixth album in style.
The event drew a large and enthusiastic crowd, who were treated to an unforgettable evening of music and performances.
The stage was opened by gospel singer, Diva Mahlahla, setting the tone for a spectacular night.
Severalisichathamiyagroups took to the stage, including legendary groups Imbizo, Gadla White Stars, Izinkonjane, iNala, and Lihle Izulu, among others.
The energy was electric, with the crowd singing along to every note.
Maskandi artists also made a significant contribution to the event, with Amachwane Amahle delivering an electrifying performance that left the audience wanting more.
Cofa-Cofa, one of the group’s leaders, used the platform to appeal to the crowd to support Maskandi artists by streaming their songs online.
Inkazimulo Afro Melodies brought a vibrant energy to the stage, with Clement Ndebele, one of the founders of Izinkanyezi ZeZulu, expressing his gratitude to the group for organizing such an amazing event.
The night wasn’t short on talent, with Thamsanqa Ndlovu showcasing his exceptional Maskandi guitar skills, leaving the crowd in awe.
Zinjaziyamluma, a former member of Izinkanyezi ZeZulu, made a special appearance, joining his former group on stage for a memorable performance.
The event was supported by generous donors, including Collet Ndlovu of Ndlovu SIM, who presented Izinkanyezi ZeZulu with a R5 000 cash gift, encouraging them to keep up the good work.
The next event will be on November 29, 2025 at Hillbrow Theatre hosted by Imbizo.
