Police are investigating an attempted murder after a man was shot in Table View, as a viral Parklands video prompts safety concerns. Table View police are investigating an attempted murder case following a shooting incident on Friday afternoon, which police confirmed in response to a viral video showing a violent confrontation in nearby Parklands. SAPS spokesperson,Wesley Twiggsaid an adult male was shot and wounded in Morningford Road at about 5pm.

“An adult male was shot and wounded. According to reports, the victim intervened in an altercation between foreign national males when he was shot. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation and arrests are yet to be made,” Twigg said.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. Police provided details of the Table View shooting in direct response to enquiries about the video, indicating that the incident forms part of the same case under investigation. It remains unclear whether there were additional injuries or related incidents connected to the confrontation seen in the footage.

In that case, gunmen opened fire before fleeing the scene, and no immediate arrests were made. For now, police investigations into the shooting and the confrontation captured on video are ongoing.
