Langalakhe Mabena, Zimpapers Arts and Entertainment HubTHE month of August will always be the most painful to Tshibilika music group Insimbi ZeZhwane and their followers.

They lost their brothers Ma-Eli and Maviri on 8 August in a road accident, two years ago.

Insimbi are set to release an album in honour of their fallen brothers in November this year.

According to Brema, who is now the leader of the ensemble, the scar of their loss is still fresh and they are finding it hard to fully accept the fate. “To be honest, this month is very difficult for us as we lost our brothers two year back on this very same month.

Even though time has passed, we are having a hard time to fully accept because these were more than band members, we were a family,” said Brema.

Despite the group picking themselves up, managing to release a couple of singles, Brema said things are no longer the same.

He gave praise and honour to their loyal fans, who continue to support them during hard trying times until they found their feet on the ground. “Re-grouping and going back to the studio was hard because things were now different.

But, the boys I have now were hungry and eager to make sure that we revive this thing and make the group resurrect and be great again. “With these guys, we have managed to make sure we pick ourselves up and continue the legacy of our lost brothers and so far, I can say we are sailing smoothly.

I would like to give thanks to our fans and promoters, who are supporting us in many ways that afford our families to have shelter and food.

Without these people we are nothing,” said Brema.

As a way of honouring the legacy of Ma-Eli and Maviri, Brema said they are polishing a fresh album that will be released on dates yet to be announced in November. “This is our gift to our brothers.

Wherever they are, they have continued to look after us and continue to guide us in spirit and musically and we are grateful for that. “The album is done and it’s in their honour.

We will release it in November and we will stage the album-launch gigs at Jo’burg Theatre in South Africa and at home in Bulawayo on dates yet to be announced. “Our fans must brace for a clean and clear production.

We will also welcome criticism because it will boost us and correct our mistakes,” said Brema.
