Princess Itumeleng Moerane apologises to President Cyril Ramaphosa in the North West A princess who blocked President Cyril Ramaphosa from entering the Bapo Ba Mogale royal palace during an ANC campaign visit has apologised to him. Princess Itumeleng Moerane turned Ramaphosa away at the royal house in Bapong, outside Brits in the North West, at the weekend. This as the ANC campaigned during the Electoral Commission’s final registration drive before the November 4 local government elections.
“Don’t touch me! Do not touch me!” Moerane shouted as the exchange escalated. He then pressed the point about protocol, saying he had come to greet everyone at the homestead regardless of the family’s internal fight. “I respect you, so please also respect me,” he said.
