A 35-YEAR-old man has told the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court that he acted in self-defense when he punched the husband to his girlfriend, who found him hiding in a wardrobe at his house. Dickson Musupelo is facing one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 248 of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia. Particulars of the offence are that Musopelo, on September 26,2025, in Lusaka did assault the complainant, thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm.
Musopelo, who earlier denied the charge, was placed on defence after the state closed its case.
